Food for 10th birthday party with family

Anonymous
Hi! We are having a surprise 10th family birthday party y for my son (around 30 people, largely adults). He loves asian food, tacos, and burgers. My thought is to do sushi and chinese food. If we do chinese, what do you suggest ordering for a crowd?

Will happily take other ideas as well. Party will be in northern NJ at my parents' home. Bonus points for any "magical" mocktail suggestions or recipes (party has a harry potter theme)

Fun!

Does he like Americanized sushi and Chinese? If so,

Orange chicken
Beef and broccoli
Kung pao chicken
Bok Choy/green beans
Rice

For sushi, select whatever rolls he enjoys

If he likes more authentic Chinese food and sushi, decide what region of china.

Example for Cantonese
Ma pa tofu
Scallion buns
Steamed spare ribs with black bean sauce
Turnip cake

Sashimi and nigiri boats

For mocktails, look up poly juice potion - it’s green, it’s fizzy, it’s fun! Also butter beer options.

Don't forget to order some chocolate frogs and Bertie Botts every flavor beans.

There are recipes out there for butterbeer ice cream or drinks as well.

Hope he has a blast! The poly juice potion reminds me of hi c ecto cooler. Also, giant pretzel sticks dipped in chocolate, leaving a little handle, would make great wands!
