Pediatric and/or general dentist in NoVA, preferable Vienna/Merrifield area

I need a new dentist. I have been taking my DD to my general dentist, which was fine, but the dentist has cut back her hours and scheduling is just too hard now.

My DD has anxiety and a lot of oral sensitivities and this dentist was very good with her. I searched a bit and found recommendations for a Dr. Niloo in Oakton for sensitive kids. But other recs would be great.

But then I need a dentist for me. I am not sensitive LOL, so a general basic dentist will be fine for me. Convenience to my home (close to Dunn Loring metro) and convenient hours for my work schedule are primary to me. Someone who sees kids and is good with kids would be nice, but not necessary.

Thanks!

For your DD try Dr. Banaji. He is located at Rt. 50 and Prosperity. He was recommended by my pediatrician and I know several people that take their kids to him as well. He's been great with my son who enjoys going to the dentist!! Very kid friendly, explains everything, TVs on the ceiling, balloons, etc. He has early appointments at 7:45am in the morning so I usually go then. The latest he is open is 4:45pm.

OP here. So you like Dr. Banaji? His office is close and several people I know take their kids to him, but based on what they have said I am not so sure he would be great with my DD.

I think I will just call Dr. Niloo.

Thanks!

And I am still hoping for recommendations for me!

For the mom, I see - and like - Dr. Trang Le. She also sees children, and I very much liked her manner with my (probably older than your) child. She's very calm, nice, and caring, and has a treasure box for kids but none of the tv-type stuff (which I actually prefer). She's in Vienna, on Maple Ave., just west of Whole Foods.

For DD, if Dr. Niloo doesn't work out I see Dr. Gazori. He's a bit of a drive from Vienna, but he has more experience I think and has had Floortime training to work with kids who have sensitivities and anxiety too. He used to be chief resident at Childrens Hospital too. A friend takes her DD to Dr. Niloo and said she charged them extra just to console their sensitive and anxious daughter.

I've heard good things about Dr. Niloo. My kids go to Jeff Davis in Tysons Corner - he is a ped. dentist and he is very nice. My kids are pretty easy to work on so I don't know how he is with sensitive kids, but mine like the tv, balloons and prizes they get there.
