IEP speech services?

| My teen was found to have significant deficits in her expressive language that affects her social/pragmatic communication skills. She already has an IEP for another issue. Her academic scores are fine, but she struggles with the communication part. Does the school provide speech therapy only for kids where academics is affected? Is there any chance for her? |

| Not likely. And she would probably hate it anyway. Most MS and HS kids hate being pulled out. And they end up missing classes which is another issue. |

| They can but it probably will not be very good. I'd do private if you can. |
