The Good Place - for kids/teens

Anonymous
I love The Good Place for its philosophical perspective on afterlife, with humor.

What age kids/teens would appreciate it?

Currently watching with my 15 yo daughter and she loves it.

my teen watched it during the pandemic and liked it (she was maybe 14 at the time?)

I watched The Good Place with my daughter while she was in high school. We both loved it!

My kids (13 and 15) watched it last year.

There are a lot of sexual innuendo, so if that concerns you then wait. But it's honestly so funny, it was worth it. It's a favorite of all of ours!

My 9-13yo enjoy it. The younger two (9 & 11) don’t get all the innuendos but they find the fake swearing hilarious.

We started watching when DS was 10 but turned it off due to the amount of innuendo and drug references. Now at 14 he might find it funny and we can have better conversations. As you can see from PP, YMMV.

One of my kid’s teachers assigns it and uses it to start discussions on morality and ethics.

I also love the fake swearing.

Nobody policed what we watched in the 80's and 90's and we all turned out just fine. The Good Place is on a major network. Just let your kids watch it if they want.

Three's Company was an absolute favorite of mine when I was a kid. All the innuendo/jokes went way over my head but I found it so funny. I turned out fine.

My DD was 11 when The Good Place started. It was a favorite of hers and we always watched it together.
