How complicated is getting a loaner vehicle from dealership?

Anonymous
I have a (so far, knock on wood) minor issue with my car that I’ve been able to work around. It’s an annoyance more than anything. The part is on back order for an unknown amount of time. They told me if it keeps acting up and I don’t want to deal with it, I can get a loaner. The thing is, I WFH, and don’t really go anywhere. I’m debating if the time associated with actually getting in the loaner (I’m picturing lots of paperwork and time) is worth the reward of not having to fool around with my issue the couple times a week that I drive.

Is it a lengthy and annoying process?

Very simple process. Is your car under warranty? Why are they offering you a loaner car?

It takes like 10 minutes

Yeah. It's not a big deal.

They generally need only your driver’s license and proof of insurance. You should ask whether you’re getting a dealership loaner of a comparable model or if they’re handing you off to whatever beater is available ftom Enterprise.
