ideas for fall after school enrichment

Anonymous
My son is starting K in the fall. I am concerned that he is going to be bored at first (long story) and want to look into signing him up for something after school once a week in case that happens. I know nearby there is Kumon, etc. Also considering music lessons. Other ideas? Anyone been in this boat before.

My son has asked for piano lessons this fall. He also wants to do ice skating lessons. Not sure if we will do both or not. He already does soccer once a week and loves it. As for academics, I am working with him at home on things that he chooses (science experiments etc...).

We have loved the Hands-on-Science program offered weekly at our MoCo elementary school for all grade levels. Schools also offer foreign languages before or after school (approved by the PTA), and many have sports offerings from other providers. I'd check with your PTA to see what they have. It's great not having to drive them around but just to pick them up a little later.
