How much for holiday gifts now?

Anonymous
For child or home related tipping, what is a standard holiday gift or tip? Should I give gift or tip all of these people?

Kids music teacher (we pay $45 for 30min lesson)

Housecleaners (we pay $180 for every 2 weeks)

Bus driver (public school, costs $400/year)

Aftercare at school, 1 main person and 3-4 other helpers (costs $180/month 2-3 days a week)

Classroom teacher and aide

We give our bus driver $15- $20
Music teacher $30
Classroom teacher $30-$50

We give the classroom teacher a $100 gift card and a bottle of wine. We give the housecleaners double pay as a holiday bonus. Don't give the others anything.

Our cleaner we give $100 cash.
Teachers we do $25 each
Daughters hair person ( she is AA and has box braids done regularly) $100 gift card
Babysitter $50 gift card

What about when there is a main cleaner and 2-3 helpers? I pay $180 per clean. Would $40-50 on a small chocolate box to each cleaner be good?

I’m planning these amounts but will be following to see what other people think.

Kids music teacher: $60 cash and chocolate

Housecleaners: $40 cash each for 4 people. This feels a little low but we just started using them 7 weeks ago.

Bus driver: small chocolate box and $20 cash

Classroom teacher and aide - sent in $50 to be added to class pool

NO! None of these people want chocolate as a gift, let alone $40 worth. They want cash. They NEED cash. Chocolate box doesn't pay the electric bill. How naive!

Calm down. When I wrote cash on top of chocolate box, I meant it literally. A small festive chocolate box with an envelope of cash tape on top.

As in you could get a $20 gift card for less than $20? Never heard they do that.

Here's what I'm doing

$75 x 6 Daycare teachers for my 2 kids (debating doing $100 for head teacher and $50 for the others?)
$25 public school teacher
$5 for the specials teachers each- library, PE, art and music
$20 2 aftercare teachers

I never tip. I am courteous all year, and my kids are well-behaved.
