Montessori Pre-school Arlington, va

Can anyone recommend one of the Montessori schools in Arlington? What do you like about it.

Thanks!

I really liked Children's House when I visited it. I liked the director, the classrooms and the playground. I also liked that they have a summer program and that their food is catered by Good Foods (I think that is the name of it) which has a solid reputation for providing healthy lunches. However, we decided to send our child to a part-time preschool at age 2 and we are going to remain at the school we are enrolled in. Children's House starts at age 3.

I also can only speak to the visit and tour and CHMS, but we liked what we saw. I would love to hear from others that are enrolled. Also, Children's House starts at 2.5.

Arlington County also runs public Montessori preschools. The deadline may have passed for this year (not sure). Friends with kids in the program say it's excellent. Admission is by lottery and it's not easy.

They also give the majority of their spots to low income families. Not sure what the cut off to be considered low income.
