Ohio, Massachusetts, etc., issue "white lung" warnings after China and Europe have 'white lung syndrome' surges. How contagious is White Lung Syndrome pneumonia?

Disinformation. There is no "white lung" disease outbreak. There are outbreaks of pneumonia of various but common origins, all known pathogens: flu, RSV, Covid, mycoplasma pneumoniae. These outbreaks have occurred in Ohio, and various parts of Europe and China. Outbreaks of mycoplasma pneumonia occur about every 4 years. We were due. This is the first since the pandemic. It's the so-called "walking pneumonia", because it's not as lethal as other forms. So relax and stop pushing false narratives. |
NP. Is it good to get the first pneumonia vaccine right now? |
I am pretty sure the pneumonia vaccine is a one dose vaccine. It has been available for years. Check with your doctor. |

In Mass and my neighbor was diagnosed with pneumonia on Wednesday. Didn’t know it was trending, but that’s for the heads up. |
