Dominion's post tranfer instructions

Does Dominion suggest bedrest post-transfer? Any restrictions on things like exercise, baths, massages, etc?

It was several years ago, but I remember they didn't even require bedrest. I rested for 24 hours, but that was it. I don't remember about baths because I usually shower. Good luck!

I asked one of the nurses at Dominion and she didn't mention "bedrest", but suggested taking that easy that day, stay home and relax.

Oh, forgot to mention, no hardcore exercise during 2WW. Just walking and light weight lifting is OK during the second week. I didn't ask about baths or massages because I wasn't planning on doing either of those.

Baths or swimming is not recommended post transfer, but bedrest is not necessary.

I don't think that they suggest bedrest. I think they say something like "restricted activity" for 24 hours. During the entire 2ww, they say no baths, hot tubs, swimming.

Yes, it is been a few years for me too...but the restrictions were limited. I usually took the rest of the afternoon off from work and kept my feet up. Then took it easy for the next few days.

But mainly because I needed to do that, to give myself peace of mind (knowing that I had done all that I could do).

Dominion does say bedrest post-transfer (or did last year, at least), but they're the only ones who do. All the others just say relax for 24 hrs (I got acupuncture, against the wishes of my doctor), then normal, though not strenuous, activity. I really don't think bedrest is necessary.

So who from the above posters got pregnant at Dominion? Just curious.

Not one of the previous posters but I'm currently pregnant after IVF at Dominion, and FWIW I rested for 2 days post transfer.

PP, when you say "rested" you mean bedrest? Also, was it a natural or regular IVF? What else did you do post transfer (any special diet, acupuncture, etc.)?

Pregnant with twins after IVF at Dominion.

Really, after transfer I went home (it was a Friday afternoon transfer) and 'rested' on the couch. Then literally just 'took it easy' over the weekend.

No...not any bedrest.

I originally was pg with triplets, naturally reduced to twins.

PP congrats for you! Do you mind sharing your protocol and any other help like acupuncture or dietary changes.

13:23 here...
I was a great responder to injects. Didn't face any of the stim issues that a typical 41 yo does. So I went through a standard long lupron protocol.
225 iu Bravelle
225 iu menopur (my body LOVED this stuff)
5 units lupron
each day for 10 days of stim.

I took a prenatal, extra folic acid, zinc and copper supplements. Additionally, I took Co-Q-10 for 3 months prior to starting my stim cycle.

I faithfully listened to fertility/relaxation CDs by Anji.

But, honestly, nothing else. We know we are fortunate and NOT the norm...and we also had to go through 3 IVFs and a horrible T18 loss (my first IVF), prior to being so lucky with our twins.

Oh, and I forgot, I also took a baby aspirin every day too, until about 3 weeks prior to my c-section.
