Are my pumpkin seeds still ok to eat?

Anonymous
I just found a tray of pumpkin seeds on my dining room table that I had drying out from a fresh pumpkin early October. They were on parchment paper and covered with a tea towel.

They look clean and dry. They look edible. I haven’t roasted them or seasoned them.

Are they consumable or should I toss them?

TIA!

Open one and see what it's like. I'd lol out for visible mold. Pumpkin seeds are sold at the store unrefrigerated so they may be fine

I've always roasted them fresh out of the pumpkin, so I'm not familiar with drying them. They do last a while once roasted.

When in doubt…

I just want to say this is relatable. We have a (whole) pumpkin on our counter that I was planning to get seeds from.
