Understanding changes in Social Security statement

I check it during the year and noticed that in June and December, the monthly benefit chart goes up, meaning I will get a higher amount. But what triggers that change? Would think they wait until they have all your current year earnings to adjust.

Could the changes you see be linked to your birthdate? You do get more the longer you wait to take it.
