Do I need to keep my Nutribullet?

Anonymous
I bought a Nutribullet 5 years ago on a weight loss kick. I ended up using it only a handful of times and realized I'm not a smoothie person, and haven't touched it since. I don't have kids yet - will I kick myself for giving it away when I have kids? My mom never made us smoothies as a kid and I turned out fine so maybe I'm overthinking things. Help!

Oh my god. If you don't use it now, get rid of it. If and when you have kids, you can revisit what you need (FYI: I have a 10 yo and a 12 yo and they don't drink smoothies).

I have a nutribullet and use it often in the summer to make myself smoothies. I also have three kids and not a single one likes smoothies. Get rid of it for sure.

I use it for soups, sauces and nut butters.

I use mine to mix salad dressing and that’s about it these days. My teenagers go through phases where they make smoothies with it but if you don’t have a lot of storage I wouldn’t keep it “just in case”.

Do you use a lot of garlic or ginger? I like my small blender for pulsing a bunch of garlic and then freezing it.

Sorry for off-topic, what do you freeze it in? Mini ice cube trays?

You pack it flat into a freezer Ziplock, then make little lines to form a grid. You can use the back of a knife to do this, or even your hand. Then stick bag flat in freezer. Whenever you need a tablespoon of minced garlic, break off a square from your grid.

My parents are Korean - ain’t nobody got time to be mincing a handful of garlic every single time we use it (garlic goes in pretty much every dish we cook!).

I must be lazy because I purchase chopped garlic in the jar.

I used mine to make baby food but I only did it a few times, it's such a short window.

I miss my magic bullet for making smaller batches of sauces like chimichurri or curry paste or salsa. But if you don’t use it, sell it on fb. I’m sure someone would grab it
