| DD got a paid internship in her field through GMU. DS got an unpaid think tank position through UVA. Neither were Nepo internships. Tell your kid to go to the college career counseling office and also work faculty connections |
If you live in DC, sign up for the Summer Youth employment program in February. There are actually a decent number of true "internship" employers, including Accenture and some local IT/Defense companies. It's a decent option if trying to do more than just be a camp counselor or waitstaff. |
