last minute 10th anniversary gift for DH?

Anonymous
Money's tight this year, and I thought he and I had agreed to just celebrate with dinner out this weekend, when he called to tease me, asking whether I wanted my gift today (our actual anniversary) or wait until our date night. Yikes! He also told me not to check our credit card statement, so of course I did - and there's not a single charge I don't recognize. (Foiled again!) He's a practical joker, so may not have anything, but I want to get something small just in case. I'm heading to Tyson's, but completely clueless - he's mid-40s, doesn't watch/play sports, rarely drinks (got him a bottle of his favorite liquor for Xmas and he hasn't cracked it open yet!), dresses casual for work (so not the cufflinks type), would laugh out loud if I bought him a spa treatment....

Any help? We've talked recently about buying a GPS to start geo-caching with our son, but that seems like a cop-out since we already have been researching them together. Somehow another Simpsons box set doesn't scream "anniversary" to me....

Concert tickets, ipod, kindle, if he is a coffee drinker you can get him gourmet coffee beans and a grinder.

Maybe a journal - you could write something on the first page about how much you've enjoyed the past 10 years and that you look forward to making future memories that are 'journal worthy.'

Chocolates -- esp. dark chocolate-covered caramels with sea salt? Lingerie (for you, for him)? Um, bottle of whipped cream?

yum!
not op here but you're giving me ideas... not celebrating anything this weekend but adding some flavor to the routine seems like a great idea.
thanks
