What is the difference between a den and a study? What is the difference between a sunroom and breakfast nook? Thanks |

I grew up in the DMV, so not sure if that makes a difference.
To me a "den" is a family room, not a study. A "study" is basically a home office or a room dedicated to quiet work and reading. A "sunroom" is a seperate room in the house with a lot of windows that faces either the back or side yard. It might have seating, a small table, a lamp or two, and shelving for books. Again, a quiet room in the house. A "breakfast nook" is not at all like a sunroom. It's part of the kitchen and is an area with a kitchen table where you'll eat your meals with your family, when not using the dining room. |
| Den and study are only different if there is built in furniture/cabinets. |
