Is it normal to get your period every 21 or 22 days?

I feel like I am always either getting a period or getting over a period, with almost no respite. My cycles are three weeks apart. I can't tell if this is normal or if this is breakthrough bleeding or what. I used to be 28 days.

How old are you? I'm almost 46 and this has been typical for me for almost 2 years now. I was told by my doctor it can be normal for a woman my age. I just started HRT which may impact my cycles, but it's too soon to tell.

Welcome to Perimenopause! Buckle up baby, it's going to be a bumpy ride!

I'm currently in perimenopause, so my cycles are wonky now. But, before perimenopause, my normal cycle was every 21 days like clockwork. That was a normal for me and my doctor said that it was fine. Definitely on the shorter end of the "normal cycle" spectrum, but not a cause for worry.

That was me at age 48. Hated it. Needed a. Hysterectomy for other reasons and am glad to be done with all that.

That was me in my late 40's, too! Then after 2 or 3 years of it, I suddenly only got my periods once a few months, and then... they were gone forever! Yay!

It’s normal. My cycles are never longer than 25 days and often closer to 21-22. I am 40 now but it’s been this way for me for years. Lucky for me I have IC triggered mid cycle by hormones, too.

I'm 41. At 39 they went from being 30 day cycles to 26-28. My doctor said it's because my ovaries and eggs are getting old. I assume I'm early peri.
