These high schools are getting more and more dangerous every day. I’m taking bets on how long before this kid gets reassigned to a neighboring school. Maybe they’ll just have a restorative justice circle between the victim and perp.

Thank the parents who can't raise their own kids properly

Some of us are still worried about our kids at Springbrook. Save your snark for the Balducci's parking lot.

How do you know it was a stabbing? The info released by the police doesn't say that. Does say the student had a head injury though.

Here's the information MoCo Show has on the incident: https://mocoshow.com/2023/11/28/one-person-in-custody-following-assault-at-springbrook-high-school/

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) was “dispatched to Springbrook HS for a physical assault involving a student. One person in custody. No other students injured.”

According to public safety reporter Cordell Pugh, the incident occurred at approximately 11:20AM Tuesday morning. Pugh reports that a student was assaulted by another student and has a head injury that required transport to the hospital. We’ll provide additional information if it becomes available.

I think you may be on to something. Many of the far-right Cato posters will advocate for turning public schools into prisons because they hate public education, but you identified the real problem.

Still waiting for someone to confirm this incident was indeed a stabbing as the title thread states.

It was a stabbing to the head but it’s a minor injury.

With a knife or some other sharp object?

Thank goodness. It's actually difficult to stab in the head, since it's all bone. Good thing the offender wasn't smart enough to stab in the chest area.

This report says stabbing but that doesn’t mean metal knife. It could be plastic fork like the Churchill stabbing.

Thanks. Looks like they updated the article as before it was just surveillance video with no details.

Yeah, the "stabbing" could be with a pencil, fork or anything. Hence why I was asking for clarification, since most people would think of a knife when they hear there's been a stabbing.

I just saw a blurry video snip. Two kids brawling and then a third ran up with a knife.
