| Anyone know a place I could pick up gluten free breakfast sweets? Looking for a coffee cake, banana bread, or similar. Trader Joe's or Whole Foods are preferred since it's on my way to work. |
| They just opened a totally gluten free bakery in Manassas. You could stock up and freeze items. |

TJs- in the bread aisle there are four packs of GF muffins- the cinnamon one is really good, probably the closest to coffee cake. I haven’t tried the chocolate one. While not related, there are also GF mini cupcakes, these are only ok- slightly grainy but a good option when short on time.
WF- I haven’t looked for banana bread or coffee cake here, but in the freezer there are good GF frozen bagels from the Greater Knead that have a cinnamon toast version (haven’t tried). These are more spendy than the TJ option, close to $9.00 for four bagels. |

The TJs muffins are the best by a long shot. If you have time to bake, get a box of the King Arthur Flour baking mix (usually available at Whole Foods, and I’ve seen it at some Safeways) and follow their coffee cake recipe on the box.
I tried the Greater Knead bagels and they weren’t very good at all. |
I really like those gluten free mini cupcakes, actually. The chocolate ones at least. But yes they are a touch grainy. But fyi not everyone can handle the TJ’s gluten free baked stuff. They aren’t certified gluten free, so if you are ultra sensitive they might not work. |

The Trader Joe's muffins (cinnamon / coffee cake flavor) are insanely sweet. I like the chocolate ones better.
Giant, Whole Foods, Wegmans all have frozen items that would do the trick too - we like the Katz brand and Kinnikinnick. |
| We like the Katz gluten free doughnuts if you can find them. I’ve seen them at Publix and Target. |
