I had sort of forgotten that it exists but a friend was just telling me he used it to hire a photographer and sell a bike. Does anyone use it? Is it better and more reliable for some things than others? |
Yes |
Facebook market place or Nextdoor. Craigslist is dead. |
Lots of con artists. Never, never, never try to sell a car on Craigslist. The ad will attract every car thief in the area and far beyond. If you do advertise a car on Craigslist NEVER let a potential buyer test drive it (they will strip parts in a few minutes) and wear driving gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints. Not kidding. |
+1 And there was the sweet, trusting older couple in southest Georgia that got murdered by a small town con artist when they went there to buy a vintage Mustang. |
I use it for consumer focus groups announcements; they are legit |
I used it recently to buy a glider and ottoman. I'd been trolling Facebook marketplace for a couple of months and didn't find anything I liked or it would be sold super fast. Was ready to order on pottery barn, about to hit submit and decided to check craigslist. I found the glider I wanted but never thought I'd have because it's $1600 plus $400 for the ottoman, for $500 for both. So--craigslist is still around and it worked in my favor since it wasn't listed on Facebook. |
As a frequent seller, I’ve had far more luck on Facebook Marketplace lately. |
Sounds like a great way to catch car thieves! |
FB Market Place, local Facebook sell groups, Mercari, Posh Mark and even EBay
Agree Craigslist is dead |
It was busy during the pandemic but since then it seems dead. Facebook marketplace seems more popular. |
NP here. What about to sell furniture? |
I use it all the time. |
Good if you get some easy money, but doing consumer research on the nice Craigslist users is not great info for business. |
Nope. FB Marketplace and Nextdoor feels more reliable to me. |
