From DCRTV:

Confirmed: Danni Starr Gone From 99.5's Kane Show - 3/7 - All Access is reporting that Danni Starr (right) is no longer co-hosting with Kane on his Hot 99.5, WIHT morning show. Recently, DCRTV has fielding lots of rumors from listeners of the contemporary hits station who believe that she was no longer with the show. Starr has been off the air for a couple of weeks, occasionally posting messages on her Facebook page hinting at her having left the show, while the Kane show has been in "best of" mode on and off recently setting up its own speculation, AA reports. Hot 99.5 Program Director Tommy Chuck tells the radio trade pub: "Danni Starr is no longer part of 'The Kane Show' and will be looking at new opportunities within iHeartMedia. We appreciate all of her contributions during her time with 'The Kane Show'".....

Rose?

if you think she was taken off the show due to these posts you are as delusional as she is. Please get a grip.

Tommy Chuck says she will be "looking at other opportunities" within iHeartMedia. Doesn't say she will be actually doing something. Which means they probably legally can't prevent her from applying for another job at another one of their properties. Just sounds a little like a spin, which is the MO of this radio show.

Kane Show needs to step up and announce this. Even if it's read verbatim on the air. Otherwise, they look like total idiots/assholes.

Can't we all just take a moment to rejoice that she's GONE!

Some thoughts:

- If Danni is actually "looking for other opportunities in iHeart Media", it means they are NOT buying out her contract and they did not have a good enough grounds to fire her in the way that would warrant no buyout. Basically they will find something else for her to do because they HAVE to keep paying her.

- With that said, Danni is entitled to "quit" and not get a buyout (which is probably what they want her to do)

- No, I don't think this thread has anything to do with any of this, other than the people on here obviously trolling social media maybe. But there is no proof that there are more than like 20 people here, which is nothing compared to the, what, millions of people that listen?

- I really think it was as simple as that Kane and Danni got in a fight that day, it got pretty ugly, one or both of them got really pissed and basically called for changes to happen because they felt they couldn't make it amicable again, it was probably Danni that was mostly in the wrong (plus, well, it's the KANE show) so she went on leave. They decided they couldn't make it all work again, and now we are here.

- Other than the subject of the argument, this all might not be quite as dramatic as everyone is guessing.

Thank you! As much as SOME of you think this forum has power we don't know if it hundreds of people or 20 people posting on here. The beauty of anynonmous posting. Maybe Kane and Danni just couldn't see eye to eye on something. Who knows. And we'll never truly know.

Haha, well it just makes most sense to me. It was the comment about staying in iHeart and also knowing that they clearly got in an argument the day it switched to replays. I used to work in college athletics... When they "fire" a head football coach or athletics director (based on performance), since they typically have some years left on their contract, they "reassign" them to some bs "advisory" position as a way to justify paying them, because they still have to. More often than not, unless that person is close to retirement anyway, they end up leaving shortly after for a new job, but at that point it's a win-win for all involved.

I don't see Danni staying... I don't know too much about iHeart as a whole and what other opportunities there might be, if she would be able to stay in DC to keep doing TLC, etc, but I think if she wants to be a radio show host again (assuming someone will hire her) she is going to have to move out (of iHeart AND DC).

Oh and something else I wanted to say earlier... I think there is no way in hell that Sarah is coming back...

I hope Sarah doesn't come back. I love her podcast. Her and Samy have an amazing chemistry and they make me laugh out loud. I don't want Kane to ruin them again. They were both miserable at the end of their time on TKS. I listen to their podcasts on my way home.

I also highly recommend Elliot in the Morning on DC101.1 for anyone looking for a morning station alternative.
