Have others who received checks from BCBS several years ago for Covid tests sorted this out? I have received a couple of texts and emails/collection notices from a place called Flow Health--I don't know of these are the same place or not.

I used same day health a lot for testing and had BCBS. I never paid anything for the tests, was never billed anything, and never received any checks. I got EOBs showing that most of the amount billed to BCBS was disallowed, but no one seemed to expect me to pay.

We just received two large bills for COVID tests done in 2021 at Sameday. Insurance won't pay because of the late filing. This should be illegal.

OP here—I don’t know if the collection notice is real/associated or not—you have to enter personal information which makes it seem like a scam…

Bumping as I am wondering if PP/OP ever figured out if this was a scam?

I received a very suspicious email from Flow Health saying that this was "1st Collection Notice." It looks like a phishing email as you have to put in personal information to read the "EOBs" and bill. If legitimate, this would be for Covid tests done in 2021 or 2022.

Agree that this sort of billing (if legitimate) should be illegal.

There has to be a scam going on. Reading the original news on this issue, people should be seeing reimbursements not bills. I just got one too from them but I never used them. All of my testing was through my insurance company.
