Recommendations for college counselors with specific experience in Transfer Options to Cornell

Anonymous
My DD received a Transfer Option to Cornell and will be applying in January to CALS. Assuming she meets all the criteria (GPA, coursework, etc), would working with a counselor on his essay be a worthwhile expense? Can anyone recommend one who has been successful in helping kids with a TO get into Cornell?

Isn't it a guaranteed transfer?

I don’t think you need a counselor for this

I think you need to confirm what Cornell offered her. Was it a guaranteed transfer? Then why would she need an essay or application? I believe she would just need to show the requisite GPA and credits from acceptable university. And then work on submitting Her transcript and getting transfer credit.

Or was it just a general reference in the denial letter about possibly submitting a transfer application in the future? That is not a transfer option.

These are two different things.

Umm no. From my private school cohort.

I did not hire them, but have looked at the blog for good tips for my kid. Might use them for another child who needs more direction… To be determined. You can Google the name if you want more info.

But there are many many many other fabulous counselors out there that you can find easily as well. Ivy Wise was recommended by my cohort as well (and by my private wealth advisor)….

Good luck w/ your search.
