Merry Christmas, I can understand.
Happy Mother’s Day, okay. Happy New Years, sure. But Thanksgiving?? I don’t need your Happy Thanksgiving text, it’s annoying. Also if I never see you or talk to you on the phone, but you only text me on holidays, please stop. Just let it go. |

Wow. Maybe block those people on your phone, OP, because it seems like you don't actually like them.
I love the warm fuzzies of texts, even if it's only on a holiday. Someone was thinking of me. That's awfully nice. |

It’s one of the few holidays that nearly all Americans celebrate, regardless of religion, ethnicity, etc.
I don’t get saying “Happy Mother’s Day” to people who are not family members. That’s an odd one, given the highly personal nature of the greeting and relationship. |
