Middle School Teacher Gifts

Wasn't really sure where to post this. I noticed the 2 packs of Stanley wine/tumbler cups are 25% off at Target today, I was thinking of getting the two packs and then splitting them up, filling with good chocolate, and giving as teacher gifts to my kids middle and high school teachers. I know there's an unwritten 'no mug' rule, does this include this kind? I have 19 teachers to buy for including specials so I thought this would be an easy solution and around the 10-15 I wanted to spend but don't want to get something teachers will hate.

It's these

As a MS teacher I think this is really cute and would enjoy it! Thank you for still wanting to get your teachers something, especially with 19(!!!).

How is your kid going to haul all that to school?

Oh ffs!!! Gifts to MS/HS teachers should not be a thing. Please. Save the money and donate it. Or let your child write them holiday cards.

They’re not. That’s why we truly appreciate it when someone does.

That is a great idea, OP. We are just going to get gift cards (not a huge amount, but am going to give something to each teacher).

OP here. I also donate money to other places, but I want to show my appreciation for the people educating my children at a critical period in their lives. They do not have an easy job. I don't think it's required, but it's important to me.

This isn't relevant to you OP but I think the no-mug rule doesn't apply to elementary specials teachers. It seems like few students think to get their art or music teachers gifts and I have always gotten effusive appreciation when I gave them a mug.

I teach middle school and would be grateful for any gift. That said, I’d rather have a $10 or $15 gift card to Target than another mug. But if you feel weird giving gift cards, then this is a cute idea.

It made my son happy to give his middle school teachers boxes of chocolate. And that’s a gift that’s not useless. They can re- gift it or share with family
