Anyone follow Behind the Blinds podcast? Blake and Ryan episode blew me away

I just discovered this podcast. It's funny and highly entertaining if you love celeb gossip.
They basically do a deep dive into all the blind items on a person or a topic (like celeb PR contract couples, etc.). The Blake Lively one was fascinating. I've always been a fan but lately I've been surprised that the "notoriously private" couple have been doing blatant pap walks through NYC and showed up in the box with Taylor (which obviously was going to be a PR blitz). The pap walks have gotten so obvious. The blind items I found most interesting: - Blake came from a showbiz family but not like showbiz royalty so she got her foot in the door, is obviously gorgeous (she has had a great nose job and has had a boob job) and is truly a fashion girl - styling herself really well and making a name for herself for her style. But her acting is meh and she is really fame hungry - apparently she was a Harvey girl and it's well known she's slept with directors and producers for parts in her early days. - She had an affair with Ben Affleck on the 2010 movie The Town (filmed in 2009) that he starred and directed in and she had a small role in. Jennifer Garner would come in and try to babysit him on the set but it didn't stop them. - She and Ryan hooked up during the 2011 movie Green Lantern (filmed in 2010 while he was married to Scarlett J.). The story they tell about becoming friends on set and then "reconnecting" after his divorce on a double date with other people is utter BS. - He is very controlling and doesn't like her acting. The plan was for her to have a Goop type lifestyle brand - she tried it with her website "preserve" which had a ton of images of plantations and southern culture but it was a flop. She also wanted to be on the show The Chew (?!?!?) but that didn't work out (what a weird choice for her). -Harrison Ford on the set of Age of Adaline berated her and was angry that a "sitcom actress" was on the film - I feel bad for her here because he was a huge dick and Blake was working with acting coaches and trying really hard on the film. This tracks with Harrison's reputation but I have to roll my eyes at him, this was a good role for Blake as it didn't require huge acting chops and she basically played a reserved beautiful woman from the past and I thought she did fine. - She has her favorite paps and calls them often. She's not really a girls girl and has had a lot of feuds on set. Though the hosts did say this was overblown and that she and Leighton Meester got along as coworkers, just didn't want to be friends, and that should be fine. But that set was apparently a mess with a lot of drama and backstabbing involving other cast members like Taylor Momsen, Michelle Trachenberg, etc. Thoughts? |

| I don't really buy it because of the point of him being controlling and not liking her acting. Not that I think Ryan is above that or anything but she's been saying for years and years (Before getting married and having kids) that she just wanted to have a bunch of kids and be a SAHM. |

Ryan is a likes the barefoot and pregnant type, which is why it didn't work out with Scarlett Johanson They've been trying to make Blake Lively happen for decades |

| I followed her on Instagram for a minute and had to unfollow because of the launch of her Betty booze brand or whatever. I found it so annoying to have in my feed. Just straight up free promotion. |

I mean she's clearly not a SAHM and never has been. She does some acting jobs but doesn't outshine him, which is a lot easier once he got his Deadpool gig. She also has her Betty Buzz line and does fashion shoots, hosts the met gala, etc. He likes her out there with him but didn't want an actress competing with him like Scar Jo would have. |

This all tracks with the general vibe I get from them, who knows how much is actually true.
You know Ryan has to be a super alpha type though because of all his business endeavors outside acting. In order to be productive and successful in that specific way, you usually have to be kind of controlling and intense. People think they'd love to be married to someone like that but the reality is not something I, personally, could handle. I'd much rather be with someone less successful and lazier but more chill and supportive. |

Leighton seems like a total B. Even her characters have a mean streak. So if she's not, she's totally pulling off the b-word role. I bet she has tiffs with many castmates. I just watched her last night in a cheesy Christmas movie, Ex-mas. She and the other lead have zero chemistry, and she certainly didn't pull off the "I'm such a good almost daughter in law that his parents and siblings would want to keep me around". |
