New neighbors moving in, but house never listed as sold

House in our neighborhood was on the market for 6+ months and then went off-market about a month ago. For sale sign came down, trucks came to remove the staging furniture.

This weekend, moving trucks arrived and new family is moving in. Public sites like Redfin etc. still showing unlisted and no recent sale in the history. How does that happen?

Check the property records. Off market sales take forever to show up on Redfin.

Otherwise it is being rented.
