We're thinking of going to Hilton Head for a week over the wonter holidays. Anyone been around that time? Looking for a place to golf, bike, swim in heated pools, and just hang out.
Any other great things to do we shouldn't miss? Don't need anything too fancy. |
It's entirely possible I posted in the wrong forum. Whoops. PLease delete, if you can. |

Sounds great, but I only get to go to Greenville, SC in December The ECNL is making me. I'd much rather be in Hilton Head.

| We’re just hanging around here eating holiday leftovers… feel free to stop by after your Hilton Head trip tho. |

This is late, off-topic, and I'm not sure if OP is going to see it, but:
My family has done a lot of Christmases at HHI over the years. The weather is very hit & miss. Some years, it's 60s, low 70s and sunny. Others, it can be mostly cloudy/rainy and 40s. Depending on how determined you are, you can golf in most of that weather. We usually stay at Sea Pines and rent some bikes. Just biking round the trails and on the beach is pleasant. (One year, my wife created a kind of scavenger hunt where different teams would bike around Sea Pines and try to take pictures of various items on her list. After a set amount of time, the teams returned and compared their results.) There is an outdoor bar at the Sea Pines Beach club that's open and heated most days in late December. The Salty Dog and Marina are mildly entertaining. If you'll be around there over Christmas, Gregg Russell does a kid-oriented concert in Harbor Town a day or two before Christmas. We've gone horseback riding at the stables once or twice. Other than that, a lot of dining out and jigsaw puzzles. |
