New APS Report Cards - elementary

Is anyone else missing entire classes worth of grades? My kids both have SEL, music, art, and PE but not ELA or math. Is this specific to my kids and their teachers or is this happening across the system?

Same here at Claremont. My guess is each teacher had only one submission (ie by staff and not by subject?)

Yes, at Claremont admin is aware of the problem and working to resolve.

Our Key report card is missing all language arts, science and math standards. It only has PE, Art and Homeroom.

Another Claremont parent here. One kid has math, SEL, music, PE, art. The other kid has only SEL, music, PE, and art. Also, why no communication to parents when report cards are ready to view? I don't think there ever has been, I just either check myself and suddenly they are there or another parent tells me they're posted.

APS sent out an email on the 14th saying they would be available on the 17th and providing instructions on how to view them. They generally always send an email.

The email I have from the 14th only says "later this week."

Standards Based Grading (SBG) Updates for Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

Later this week, your student’s Standards-Based Progress Report for marking period 1 will be available in ParentVUE. This year, in addition to the proficiency of content standards, your student’s report will include proficiency of skills within the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Standards. Student progress of the SEL standards of Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social-Awareness, Relationships, and Decision-Making will be included. These standards are part of SEL instruction this year and take the place of the “C.A.R.E.S” characteristics or work habits that were previously included.

To access your student’s Standards-Based Progress Report in ParentVUE, please complete the following steps:
Log into ParentVUE.
While in the “Home” area of ParentVue, click the “Documents” tab to locate your student’s Standards Based Progress Report
For additional directions on how to access your ParentVUE account, please go to this link: https://www.apsva.us/parentvue-canvas/.

I understand not specifying a date because delays happen and you know the moment a specified date hits parents will be checking an emailing to ask why they can't see there kid's report card. But once they are up a quick a "report cards are availalbe" would be useful.

Whoops sorry it was the one sent on the 15th.

"Dear APS Families,

As we look ahead to the holiday break, I am sharing important information about student academic progress and APS inclement weather procedures.

First Quarter Report Cards Available on Friday: Report cards will be posted in ParentVUE on Nov. 17, and you can also request a printed copy from your school. We appreciate your ongoing partnership in supporting student success and look forward to sharing their progress with you. I just checked, and my child’s report card contains everything. But we’re not at Claremont or Key.

Key just sent an email saying it's an IT issue and they're fixing it.

Claremont parent here and admin has sent a note that they are working to fix problems for affected students by EOD.

It went out on ParentSquare but I think the one I got went specifically to 3rd grade parents. If yours is wrong and you are NOT 3rd grade I would contact the school.

PP here - I got a note for my 1 and 3rd graders for the report cards. Looks like it didn’t affect every class.
