Sick of shaving cream scum!

Anonymous
Help! One son uses the pasty kind that you swirl in a cup with water and brush on. The other uses typical kind in a can. They both do a good job of wiping the sink clean, but no matter what we use to clean it, there remains an almost greasy scum in the sink! The sink perpetually looks filthy. Any advice?

let them clean their own bathroom and don't worry about it.

Did you even read the OP?

Try Barkeeper's Friend. That stuff is amazing.

Give them a bowl to put in the sink when they shave, and empty it into the toilet. Run the bowl through the dishwasher daily.

Have them shave in the shower with soap, like everybody else. Shaving cream is silly.

I use shaving cream in the shower.

But that's not OP's question.

Have you tried Soft Scrub? It's great at cutting through films without scratching.

I haven’t used shaving cream in years.

I use a single safety razor.

No true Scotsman uses a safety razor. Do it right; use a straight razor.

I shave using water, plain ordinary soap, and a disposable razor. I never used shaving cream - always seemed like avoidable cost which was not better than hand soap and water.
