Albany Amtrak shutdown

My kid was traveling Amtrak as an unaccompanied minor from Albany to Penn Station. Now I hear that the line is suspended due to a hazardous garage. I must pick her up in person.

Amtrak goes to Croton-Harmon, which is also a Metro North stop. But now I hear the Metro North tickets are sold out!

Help! I’m not looking forward to driving out 30 miles from Manhattan to pick up a kid. What are other people doing? This is for Friday evening.

Uh don’t have a car and not familiar with NYC roads. But looks like there’s not a good alternative.
