Prescription sent to walgreens

We usually go cvs for prescriptions. My kid's prescription got sent to Walgreens, since it's closer and has drivethru. I've never filled a prescription there, but I think I'm a Walgreens member. Will they be able to fill it and call me based on my doctor's order? I called and cannot get a person. Thought I would ask before I pack a 5 year old with pink eye into the car to go to Walgreens.

They should since it all the info was giving online- if not call them up in an 2 hours or so, and take your issuance card

I’m assuming so, but why don’t you call your pediatricians and have them call it into CVS. Was this request yours or did they make a mistake?

I said Walgreens was fine, since the CVS we usually use is in Target and also not close by. After I left, I realized we've actually never used Walgreens for prescriptions, just OTC stuff.

Thanks. I know it's a dumb question, but I don't have a lot of prescription med experience with my kid.

They will definitely fill it but they won't call/text you since they don't have your number.

They also won't have your insurance info so they will have to run this once you get there which may take a little while.
