My kid is desperate for protein during sports season. So I buy bags of the "just bare" Chicken Breast Chunks at Costco. He or I will heat them the night before and whatever he doesn't snack on before bed goes in the lunchbox.
Sometimes we'll make a box of mac n' cheese in the morning and put it hot in a Thermos. |
| Mine either takes leftovers ( pastas, stews, rice/meat) or a pb&j |

Thermos: Mac and cheese with peas, leftover soup, ramen noodles, ravioli or tortellini
Ham and cheese sandwich "Snacky lunch" (dolmas, pita chips and hummus, veg/fruit, muffin, cheese crackers) basically what we have around but I encourage or pack higher protein foods if possible |
| Banana, baguette, deli chicken or salami, chips, clementines, pears. His 13 year old brother also likes pudding, veggie sticks, and muffins. |
