Are grades inflated even in elementary school? My average to below average student who is not a great reader who I have to still check in with every day to get homework done (he is in 5th grade and does not do his reading homework unless I make him) is supposedly on grade level for reading and made all As. He is a well-behaved, respectful kid who is liked by teachers and peers - but his strength is definitely not academics. Just curious because I'm not seeing A level work at home.

For the most part yes but grades are fairly random in ES and it depends on the teacher.
