Infertility Support and Discussion
| Does anyone know if SG will do back-to-back IUI's? No one there has mentioned it, but, if it's an option we might like to try it. Also, does anyone know what the additional cost is to do this? Thanks. |
| Yes, especially if you use frozen sperm. We used donor sperm for our IUIs and SG did back to back IUIs for us. If you ask them to, I'm sure they will if they think it will help. But you will essentially be paying for 2 separate IUIs. |
| They will also do them with fresh, non-frozen sperm. You should ask if you're interested in doing that. Best of luck. |
| The cost for IUI is right around $700. If you are doing global fee, then you would pay an additional ~$700 for the second IUI. |
| Which sg office only charges $700? I was told it would be $1200, with insurance only covering meds. |
$700 is for the IUI only- no monitoring, no bloodwork. My insurance covers meds only and our first IUI was $1,600 at SG which covered bw/us and the actual IUI procedure. |
| Thanks! Our range was $1200 to $1600, so I'm happy their quotes are consistent with actual cost. |
Yes, I'm quie sure they start out at 1,600 for the first IUI, 1,400 for the second, and 1,200 for any subsequent IUIs. |
| The global fee depends on what type of IUI you are doing. I did an IUI with stim drugs (no clomid) and my fee was $2200 and it went down from there. If you are doing clomid only or clomid/stims, then the prices are less. |
