Are there any local places that have lots of fine china? Like Replacements but local?
|
| Not Replacements-level comprehensiveness, but the Christ Child Opportunity Shop in Georgetown is AMAZING. Not useful if you need to match a specific pattern, but if you want to find cool patterns to add to a varied collection, or a fancy whole service, this is the place. |
| Check out Facebook Marketplace. I sold a very nice, huge set for $100. Sets of 12, variety of plate sizes plus the usual bowls, cups/saucers, etc., plus serving bowls and platters. I didn't want it because it required hand washing. |
| Humane Together, formerly Wagging Tails, in Rockville. They have a huge space and significant glassware display. Last time I was there I found a bowl in my pattern. |
|
OP, what pattern are you looking for?

Thanks! I’ll check them out.
My pattern is Noritake Oxford. I have a pretty full set, though I’d love to find the teapot. |
| Try local estate sales- always a china dumping ground. |
| Did a quick GOOGLE SEARCH and found several teapots for sale in your pattern! |
Can you post a link? |
| Ebay. Offer 50% of asking and you'll probably get it. |
