Moving and our new place has hardwood floors in the kitchen.
My usual kitchen MO (for lino) is to spray with cleaner and then mop with a wet sponge mop. Same for spot treatment for spills (or wipe with a damp rag). What do you do with hardwood? I assume too much water isn't super good for it. |
I have a cleaning crew that comes every 5 weeks and they just use water and a mop. And in between I use a sponge to clean up any spills that occur. But I also have runners in my kitchen aisles to protect the wood floors so that helps and I wash them every few weeks or so. |
I sweep really well to make sure there's no dust or grit that could scratch the finish, then use Bruce hardwood floor cleaner with a terry cloth mop. |
Steam mop. The aren't antique floors I am passing down to my children. |
Sweep or use my Dyson hard wood floor attachment then mop with rags and water or Bona. Sometimes I use swifter wet cloths. |
Spin mop with a drop of Sal suds |
We have cleaners come once a month. I will sweep up most days and run a swiffer (w/hardwood specific liquid) once a week |
Tineco wet/dry vac. Love it so much. |
Bona floor. I use the large wipes w swiffer-like no system. |
We have kids and dogs who shed so vacuuming happens nearly every other day. We either run the Roomba, Dyson stick or central vac. We use Bruce hardwood floor cleaner in a Rubbermaid Reveal Spray mop throughout the week as necessary. Once a week, a teaspoon of powdered Tide detergent in a gallon of hot water with the O'Cedar spin mop.

We use a microfiber cloth attached to a mop and we use a warm water/vinegar solution. Been doing for 10+ years and floors still look great. I use Bona spray to spot clean small messes. |
Vinegar and water. Cleans pretty well. |
Mostly just sweep as needed, but Bona is the only answer for cleaning hardwood |
We run the Roomba on our whole main level every morning. Cleaners every 2 weeks who use Bona on the hardwoods. |
Murphys wood soap and spin mop, a few times a year |
