Food near MSG

Staying a few blocks south of MSG in a few weeks and would like some ideas for meals. So far these look good>

Ess-a-Bagel
Brooklyn Bagel
New York Pizza Suprema
Shukette
Johny's Luncheonette

Staying for the weekend, so need a few more choices. Will be with teenage DS.

I came in here thinking I was going to read a loony thread about people worried that their food was close to other food made with MSG.

MSG near food is not bad for you. MSG in your food maybe a different story.

Manhattan is quite small, relatively speaking. The area around the garden is tourist trap central. So what do you want to eat? Proper Italian-American? Asian/Chinese? If you want a show, Ellen’s Stardust. Me, I’d want something more typical like 2d Avenue Deli. You could try Xian Famous Food, or hop on the 7 train to Flushing and go for Chinese food.

The rooftop at 230 5th (as soon as it opens, before it turns into nightlife)….driving range at Chelsea Piers followed by Cookshop…Gramercy Tavern…I dunno as a former New Yorker (still grieving the loss) I can’t get any closer to MSG than that unless I’m waiting for the train home.

Isn’t there a New York or Travel forum this should be in?
