I just watched the latest Mission Impossible movie...
spoiler alert..................... where AI gets into the internet, government and military networks. They started taking them offline and hired a bunch of people using old typewriters to backup important documents. With how AI is becoming more of a real thing and more advanced, do you think this could ever happen, and we'd go back to analog? I was watching another movie where the country's network systems went down, and so they had to rely on analog. We are so plugged into a global network system, if something should happen (skynet?) the entire system could go down. It's an interesting thing to think about. Do you think it would ever happen? I was joking with DH that they could hire people like us to use the old typewriters (we are our in 50s), and they'd have to bring back all the old people who know how to use the old analog systems, kind of like when y2k happened, and some companies and government agencies had to bring back old time programmers to fix some of the code that was written in Pascal. |
