I know that MCPS has a $20 limit but in the past I have given $25-50. What is a reasonable amount to give to HS teachers?

I’m a teacher. For HS, it is unusual, but we’ve given one teacher $25 at Christmas two years in a row due to ABCD actions on behalf of our child.

I wasn’t aware there was a limit- we gifted teachers more than $25 for elementary school

Technically, teachers can get fired for accepting gifts over $20. The $20 amount should be raised, given inflation.

We give teachers and the counselor $25 gift cards

$20 and a nice note to the principal if they are particularly good or went above and beyond.
