Bethesda Restaurant Suggestions Needed

Anonymous
I'm coming into town in a couple days, would like suggestions for a nice lunchtime spot for lunch with a friend. I used to know Bethesda like the back of my hand but moved away 10 years ago so no idea really what there is to choose from outside of what I see online. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Saltline or Spanish Diner. Both near the metro.

NP. I love Spanish Diner. Didn’t realize Salt Line had opened. What do you like there?

If you want a little more casual, True Food is really tasty with a lot of healthy and vegetarian options. And Tatte is yummy. Raku is also good.

Blacks, Woodmont grill.

Ethiopian place down on Bethesda Ave - Chercher

for quick lunch, Tacombi (taco place) is tasty

breakfast I'd do Silver Diner

Planta is pretty good for vegan altho wouldn't be only one of 2 meals I had in Bethesda

My fave at Salt Line is the appetizer of baked clamshells - "Stuffies" also their lobster roll is classic New England style and quite good (way better than Luke's)

Love Tatte & Raku. I do not get it with True Food. I have been 5 times. It is fine but I always leave unsatisfied and somewhat still hungry. People rave so much, but it’s usually people who want to look like they eat, but are actually super restrictive and orthorexic.

100% True Food is not good. Small portions, no seasoning.
