Has anyone ever tried this or know anything about it?
I am looking into it based on a recommendation from the instructor who teaches the yoga class I take - she is wonderful and has been trying to help me deal with my aches and pains (neck and back) and told me she knows someone in the area who teaches it. I will get more info after next class but thought I would see if anyone knows anything. To be honest it sounds like kind of kooky from my google searches. I am totally into "alternative" medicine type stuff but not sure about this. Willing to give anything a try though! |

Hi,
I can guarantee you that the Alexander Technique is not 'kooky'. It's one of the most logical, effective modalities I've ever come across. It cured my neck pain and now I'm an Alexander teacher in NYC. Let us know how you make out! Mark Josefsberg |
Thanks Mark! I think my issue with it is that the websites I went on made it sound very vague, so I don't know what it is exactly. Kooky in my book is not really negative either! Those foam roller things are pretty kooky but I bought one last week and it is helping me! I'm anxious to try anything. I'm a ball of knots and it's really affecting my quality of life. I am constantly clenching my jaw, my neck, my back, shoulders - it's like I'm holding everything in and I can't go on like this. Anyway, if you have recommendations for the Silver Spring (near downtown) area I would love to hear them. Thanks! |
