Lottery question

For interest lottery-based HS programs (not application, and not DCC), if you get a slot, do you have to accept it? I am looking at the FAQs, and it is clear that if it is an application program, you don't have to accept it. I assume it is the same for the lottery? I tried calling, but they are closed and thought I would see if folks here know.

We were offered spots in two lottery programs and ultimately declined each of them.
