Did you crack you knuckles?

Posting here as wondering if anyone in midlife or later now has hand pain that they think is result of cracking knuckles. We have read cracking knuckles is release of gas and does NOT cause any problems, but also old wives tale that can impact with pain later in life. Anyone crack knuckles when young and now hands hurt?

yes, I crack my knuckles and my hands hurt. I am 59. However, my back, my knees, my shoulder, my elbows, my ankles, my hips and my feet also hurt. I have osteo arthritis everywhere. The joints that are the worst on my hands are not the joints I cracked.

I don’t anymore, but I used to be addicted to cracking my knuckles as a kid. Joints are fine.
