We're going on a trip that will involve air travel and taking Ubers around our destination city with a 2 year old. What is a carseat that is easy to very quickly install and uninstall in an Uber and lightweight to carry around the airport, etc.?

If you will be in and out of a lot of cars I would go with the ride safer travel vest (if your DC meets the min weight to use). It's a lot easier than lugging around a traditional car seat.

This is what the cosco scenera is for. There are quite a few hacks to attach it to your stroller, plus it is very light weight
We have the WAYB — it’s great. Super light and just needs seat belt installation. There are ways to secure it even more, but seat belt is the very basic.
I hate the Cosco Scenera. With our second we ended up buying a graco similarly priced and much more substantial. I still feel bad for the kid who gets stuck in the Cosco one because there’s no surviving a wreck in that.

+1 It’s one of the best baby items we ever purchased. Way smaller yet safer than the Cosco and less cumbersome and better for smaller children than the vest (bc I had purchased and tried both before they came out with the pico) |
