Executive functioning and study skills support

Anonymous
Does anyone have a recommendation for someone to help with executive functioning, organizing, and study skills support? I have a high school freshman, who is really struggling with this in APS. I am ready to stop the parent child attention and get outside support for the benefit of all of us in the house! I know some people recommend study pro but I’ve heard it’s not really worth the high cost. Of course we would be willing to pay that if necessary. TIA.

^ oops, that was meant to be “parent and child tension”, not attention.

We did the study pro course, and I agree, not worth the price. We found a private executive functioning tutor that has helped a lot more. The APS Parent Resource Center has a list of tutors and executive functioning coaches. It’s just who signed up with them, so not vetted at all. There are also some places that certify coaches, so we also looked at those people. We took the first one I could find with availability that fit our schedule, but she’s worked out really well.
