| If you make taquitos with string cheese, what brand of tortillas and cheese do you use to get perfect the perfect roll? |
| Lol what? Taquitos with string cheese? |
| I make flautas with chicken that is seasoned with salt, pepper, and a bit of cayanne and paparika. I use corn torillas gently fried, the stuffed and rolled, and then fried again. I have added a bit of cheese on occassion. I haven't made anything like you are talking about. |
| String cheese?? I use toothpicks to hold them and fry in oil on all sides. No cheese inside. |
| That’s some white people food right there. |
| Dying to hear more about this. OP do you use mozzarella string cheese and then dip them in marinara? |
Hahahaha seriously. 😆 |
By tortilla does she mean bread crumbs? Are we making mozzarella sticks? That I’ll be excited about. I have never been as happy as I was last week when Costco was sampling mozzarella sticks. |
there is no such thing |
I tried those too! Went home and made my own. I guess you can call them Italian taquitos (not) but I make my taquitos like 6:43. |
Taquitos are made with mexican queso cheese, or in the states, shredded mexican mix, mild cheedar, etc. There is no such thing as string cheese in taquitos |
| OP here - saw these at a potluck and people loved them.Didn’t look like shredded cheese, it was some sort of cheese stick. It was very salty, no dips. |
Op, did you eat Turkish Borek perhaps? It is commonly made with a beautiful white salty cheese and wrapped in phyllo but fried such that you may not realize it is phyllo. |
that would be an italian cheese stick then. not a taquito |
| so you want a recipe for fried mozarella sticks? |
