Rib flare?

Anonymous
I'm on the thin side but mostly at a healthy weight. I noticed recently that my sternum and ribs are very visible...like they almost stick out? Anyone else experiencing this? What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Have you had kids? If so try GetMomStrong on IG. She has a program but I know she has some post on rib flare. Youll want to learn to breathe into the side of your ribes, and how to stack properly for core engagement. This looks like being on your back with a band overhead that you pull to be even with your shoulders to keep your ribs down while learning how to engage your core and do lower abdominal work. Rib flare is the opposite of upper ab gripping so theres a happy medium.

Yoga and Pilates help. When you’re exercising, you need to actively taking your core and not flare your ribs.
