Does a new driver need umbrella insurance or comprehensive or Collison coverage?

My family has geico and they won't lower the rate. Progressive has an offer that has a higher dollar coverage and is half of geico. I'm a new driver and had my license 2 yrs now. I was told Erie does not accept drivers with less than 3 yrs driving exp. So didn't apply there. I'm not on the geico policy but I'll be on progressive. I'll be driving routinely for the first time. Should I get Umbrella insurance or comprehensive or collision?

I'll be driving a 2012 clunker of an impala. That car has a check engine light that won't turn off. But it passed the state inspection but not emissions yet. When I'm more comfortable driving I'll get a newer car.

Umbrella coverage offers more protection of your families assets in case of a law suit. It is recommended for higher income people. Comprehensive is required. Collision will fix/replace your car when you are at fault. It might not be worth it for your older car but you would be left with nothing after and accident.
