PEP at 5 yo?

Under what circumstances could PEP placement be requested and approved for a 5 yo instead of transitioning to K with an IEP? Late summer birthday, immature for age, ASD/ADHD, very distractable, but well-regulated and pretty verbal.

| Did you do PEP at all previously? I have heard of an extra year of PEP being given in addition to the first two. Most SN parents I know took a K-waiver year and held their kid back at 5 doing a year of therapy intensives, SN preschool, transitional/junior K instead. |
